One of Those Days

It has been one of those days so far, and I mean since midnight to now, nine twelve p.m. and I can’t see it getting any better either which makes it even worse. I have been trying to get to bed earlier for years, so last night I went to bed at nine thirty, but when twelve came, I could just not lie there any longer wasting time. I have been like this since I was a kid, but in those days, I believed my mother when she said that ‘a rest was as good as a sleep’.

It is not; it’s a waste of time; it is better to work or have fun until you really are tired and then fall asleep easily.

Anyway, I worked until four and then slept until eleven, although I had been awake for twenty-two hours. The only problem with that is that visitors think you’re been asleep since they went to bed, which for most people in our farming community is nine thirty.

We had two such visitors, but my wife wouldn’t wake me up, despite the fact that I have said repeatedly that I don’t mind.

I have continued to add my books to GooglePlay and Kobo today, but after getting thirty-seven up, nobody has bought anything. Is it worth putting the other hundred and four there, or will it be a monumental waste of time as well? The only thing that keeps me going is the thought that once they are there, they are there and they will be there forever.

I have also redesigned the covers for the six books in the Behind The Smile series, but just as I was going to upload them there was an Internet problem. I suspect that it was with CreateSpace and Kindle rather than at my end, because everything else was working fine.

At that point, I gave up and went out to complain to you about it and have a few beers and as soon as I sat down a bloody woman drove past at half a mile an hour with her hand permanently on the horn selling watermelons.

I want to find out where she lives, park outside her house and hold the horn down for ten minutes holding one of my books up.

I cannot abide people who make gratuitous noise for their own ends without any regard to the sensibilities of others. It is a pet hate… and now the village Tannoy system has started blaring out crappy music to announce that the mayor has something to say.

It really has been one of those days, I think I need a holiday…

Please do me favour and brighten my day by clicking the LIKE and SHARE buttons below.

All the best,

Owen
