I know that a lot of authors visit this blog, and I know that many of them offer their books free of charge from time to time. Therefore, I am going to set up a page where authors can offer their free books to our 90,000 visitors a month.
Since the name of this website is Megan Publishing Services, and I write almost exclusively on subjects concerning reading and writing, I have to assume that most of those visitors are interested in books.
Therefore, the purpose of this article is to alert both readers and writers of this new opportunity to give away or collect free books. Authors, please see below for more details. The service is completely free to both readers and writers.
For Authors
This is a new venture for me, so it will doubtlessly evolve. However, for the time being, I will need a cover photo, the author’s name, and a short description of the book, say, the length of a Tweet – 140 characters. That will make it easy for me and others to promote your free books, if we have a mind to.
A note of caution: I have no idea about the demographics of the visitors to Megan Publishing Services, so please exercise some restraint with regard to the cover photo and the blurb. You will not be able to post directly to the blog, so your submission will be read by me or another human. It will not be worthwhile wasting your time and ours.
On a lighter note, you may post as many books as you like and even set dates to start and stop your promotion. Contact me personally for further details.
